To see a person’s attitude [good-bad] towards relationship/marriage, we the see relationship between the Ārūḍha Lagna and Upapada:
] If the Upapada is in the 12th from Ārūḍha Lagna, the native may ignore the spouse, though the spouse is a good person and is very chauvinistic.
] If this is the opposite, i.e. the Ārūḍha Lagna is in 12th from Upapada, then the native is very giving towards the spouse and expects nothing in return. However, the spouse may not reciprocate that much or may ignore the native.
] If the Upapada is in the 6th from Ārūḍha Lagna, the native may feel that their giving efforts are going unrewarded and this may make the native very frustrated towards the spouse.
] If instead Upapada is in the 8th from Ārūḍha Lagna, the spouse/marriage may cause sorrow to the native.
] If the Upapada is in the 3rd/11th from the Ārūḍha Lagna the marriage though initially based on carnal desires, slowly becomes developed into a loving and good marriage.
] If the Upapada is in 5th/9th from Ārūḍha Lagna, the native is in perfect harmony with the act of giving and will have a happy marriage.
] If the Upapada is in the 7th house from Ārūḍha Lagna, the native perceives marriage as an obstruction to their ideals and this could delay marriage.
] If the Upapada is in 4th or 10th from Ārūḍha Lagna, the native has a good balance between giving and taking in the relationship and this gives a happy marriage.
