Let us first analyze the chart before delving specifically into why she moved to the US:

Rājā Kalyāṇa Verma in his work Sarāvali states for Jupiter in Libra: Person will earn from Dance & Drama. Dilip Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt & many other actors have Jupiter in Libra. This Jupiter in Libra is also in the 9^th house from her Ārūḍha Lagna [AL] in Aquarius. Planets in AL9 protect the good fortune & help in accruing monetary gains for the native.

Amātyakāraka [the (second highest degree) planet governing profession] Saturn is in a sign ruled by Mercury & Rāhū. And Saturn’s special 10^th aspect/dṛṣti which is called its karma dṛṣti (the area of hard work, labour) is on Gemini [Arts, Creativity], having Mercury [Skill of Acting] Venus [Entertainment Industry] Rāhū [another significator of movie industry (Illusion)]. So, all her hard work & labour was directed towards – Acting.

Ātmakāraka & Amātyakāraka either conjoined or in quadrants or trines to each other is a guarantee for a successful career. Priyanka’s Ātmakāraka Mars & Amātyakāraka Saturn are conjunct. These 2 malefics in the 6H are fantastic for material success. Saturn is especially BEST in the 6H as it has amrita dṛṣti on the 8H, 12H & 3H thereby demolishing debts, secret enemies, & competitor’s career, respectively.

Now, coming to why did she shift base to the US. There is a Chara kāraka replacement between Amātyakāraka Saturn & Bhrātrkāraka Mercury as Saturn is in 22 degrees 36 minutes & Mercury is in 22 degrees 28 minutes i.e., both Saturn & Mercury are in the same degrees & with Mercury having lower minutes compared to Saturn, between 30 years [Mercury’s maturity] to 36 years [Saturn’s maturity], Mercury will replace Saturn & become the new amātyakāraka taking charge over the professional sphere of her life.

Chara kāraka replacement brings with itself a major change in life which doesn’t generally happen with ease as one planet [with higher minutes] is literally getting kicked out of its chara kārakattwa responsibility & another planet [with lower minutes] is taking over that role. Generally, this can be a painful or challenging transition. And whichever charakāraka is getting replaced, a major upheaval usually occurs in that area of life. For e.g., in Priyanka’s case, because it was the amātyakāraka which got replaced, it was her professional life which went under a major transition. If the Ātmakāraka is getting replaced by the amātyakāraka a Karma Yogi will rise who will sacrifice his self (ātmakāraka/ātmā/self) for the achievement of an ideal related to his work (amātyakāraka). Guruji Pt. Sanjay Rath ji has the AK replacement in his chart & his service towards jyotiṣa needs no mention. If on the other hand, mātrkāraka or pitrkāraka are being replaced then the experience will be related to parents and so on so forth can be determined for the remaining charakārakas.

Coming back to Priyanka’s chart, it was exactly between this period of 30 to 36 years that Priyanka settled in the US. But why US? Mercury & Gemini both rule the United States & Mercury placed in Gemini is specifically US. And what exactly happened which triggered this replacement? In a recent interview, Priyanka had stated: “I was being pushed into a corner in the (Hindi film) industry. I had people not casting me for reasons, I had beef with people.” A small hint: see the houses/bhāvas occupied by the planets involved in the charakāraka replacement, which are the 3H & 6H in this case. 6H deals with enmity.

Let us also see why she won the title of Miss World. For awards, honours & titles we see the ārūḍha of the 10H i.e. the A10. Priyanka’s A10 is in Taurus 2H & Jupiter (the lord of universe) is in the 6^th house FROM it, which is a bad placement. Hence, the title of miss universe was never meant for her. Mars [lord of the world/earth] is in the 5^th house/trine from A10 and the title of miss world came her way in rāhū mahādaśā mercury antardaśā.

Priyanka married Nick Jonas who is much younger to her – Mercury in 7H of her Navāmśa. Nick first approached Priyanka via a Twitter DM [communication: Mercury] when Priyanka was running mercury mahādaśā-mercury antardaśā. [Dvādaśottari daśā is applicable as Priyanka’s Navāmśa Lagna is a Venusian Sign]. In her Navāmśa, Mercury is in parivartana with Mars so it is as if Mercury is in Virgo. In his Rāśi Chart, Nick has Mercury in Virgo. Mars conjunct Ketu especially in 12H of Navāmśa is not a good combination though.
